LG has introduced  LG-LU3000, which is latest Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone and claimed to be the world’s fastest smartphone in the market so far.

LG LU3000 features a 3.8-inch WVGA IPS Screen, a 5MP camera with AutoFocus, an HDMI out with support of 1080P video playback and a 1GHz OMAP 3630 processor. LG will release the LU3000 in Europe and North America.

FCC has approved the Samsung R700 dual-band CDMA

Samsung has shipped 2 million Galaxy S units Stateside



Paul Golden, Chief Marketing Officer at Samsung Mobile USA, declared to Reuters that “we’re in a situation where we wish we had more supply,” further saying that the main problem is producing Super AMOLED displays (which are included in all Galaxy S models).

Samsung has shipped more than 7 million Galaxy S smartphones globally until now, and sales will most probably pass the planned 10 million mark pretty soon. Let’s hope that “pretty soon” is also when Samsung will manage to push Android 2.2 Froyo on its Galaxy S handsets in the US, because all of them (including the new Continuum) run Android 2.1 at the moment.

AT&T and Samsung will launch Solstice II a817



Samsung Solstice a887 (introduced more than a year ago), the new handset has a 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen display and uses Samsung’s Touch Wiz UI. It also features HSDPA, A-GPS, Vlingo Speech-to-Text functionality, Video Share, Mobi TV, Mobi VJ, Bluetooth 2.1, 2MP camera, 256MB on-board memory, and MicroSD card support.

AT&T touts the Solstice II as a quick messaging device, because it comes with threaded text messaging, AT&T Social Net, and “multiple messaging options (SMS, MMS, Video Messaging and Instant Messaging)”. The handset doesn’t have a QWERTY keyboard, though.

Samsung Continuum rumored would be available on November 11th,we have reason why this phone would be available because this phone now shows up on Verizon’s holiday site, writen “coming soon”.

Samsung Continuum is a dual-display phone which is comes with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 384MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, plus 2GB of on-board flash storage and a preloaded 8GB microSD card (up to 32GB). It has a 1.8-inch display with a 96 x 480 resolution. It also features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and 3G mobile hotspot.

Samsung Continuum also will run on Android 2.1 OS, but unfortunely there no word on price and exact release date yet, let’s wait and see.

But now, they’re picking up Samsung Galaxy Tab. which is this handset features Android 2.2 OS, 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, 3MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, Social Hub, microSD card slot and 4,000mAh battery.

Motorola Droid 2 and the HTC Droid Incredible previously sold for $199.99 with the now-standard 2-year contract, and both are now available for $50 less. A new 2-year service agreement is naturally still required.

HTC Incredible HD may show itself later this month, according to previous rumors, and even if it doesn’t automatically render the Droid Incredible extinct, it surely can’t go for the same price. And since the standard pricing for a high-end smartphone is now $199.99, it probably makes sense to drop the Incredible’s price a little.

Carphone Warehouse is now selling the new tablet with prices starting at £99.99 going up to £499.99 depending on what monthly commitment you are prepared to make.

To get the Galaxy Tab at £99.99 you need to commit to a 24 month contract paying £40/month. To get it at £499.99 the contract is just 1 month (rolling) and is £10/month if you keep the contract active.

Foursquare has released a minor update to their last update. v1.9.9 is now available for download and while no significant changes have been put into play here, the update will address some bugs found in v1.9.8 which mainly revolved around battery life and push notifications.
